Why It Works

The Science Behind Better Sleep.

Active Temperature Regulation

Merino wool fibers respond dynamically to your body temperature — insulating when cool, venting excess heat when warm. Unlike down (which traps heat) or synthetics (which don't breathe), Merino keeps your body in the 65–72°F sleep science sweet spot all night.
NATURALLY SELF-REGULATES TO BODY TEMP

Hypoallergenic by Nature

Our 100% sterilized Merino fill is naturally resistant to dust mites, mold, and bacteria — the three primary triggers for bedding-related allergies. GOTS certification confirms zero harsh chemical treatments. Suitable for babies, sensitive skin, and allergy sufferers.

Moisture-Wicking All Night

Merino can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture before it feels damp — silently drawing perspiration away from your skin. You stay dry, not clammy. This property also makes it naturally resistant to odor and bacteria, extending the time between washes.

Truly Sustainable

Merino wool is biodegradable, renewable, and has a lower footprint than synthetic fills. Our GOTS certification covers the supply chain — from farm through the final stitch. When you buy Delara, you're investing in bedding that's good for you and the planet.

The All Season Organic Wool Comforter That Replaces

Every Other Duvet You've Owned

If you've ever woken up at 2am to kick off your duvet — or been woken by a cold draft because you threw it off in the night — your bedding is working against you. Most comforters, even expensive ones, are designed for a single temperature. Delara's all season wool comforter is engineered to do something fundamentally different: adapt.

What Makes This an Organic Comforter?

The word “organic” is heavily misused in bedding. Delara’s all-season Merino wool comforter is GOTS certified, ensuring the fill and cotton shell are made without synthetic chemicals.

It’s also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and Woolmark certified for safety, quality, and Merino wool performance. Three trusted certifications — not just one.

The Merino Wool Comforter for Hot Sleepers

Merino wool is the most recommended bedding fill by sleep scientists specifically for hot sleepers. Its crimped fiber structure creates thousands of tiny air pockets that regulate temperature passively.

The 300 GSM all-season weight helps maintain a balanced sleep temperature throughout the night — reducing overheating, moisture buildup, and deep-sleep disruptions naturally.

Organic Cotton Shell — 400TC Sateen Weave

The fill matters enormously, but surrounds it. We chose a 400-thread-count sateen weave organic cotton shell because sateen's tight, smooth surface creates a noiseless, silky feel.

Nothing is worse than crunchy bedding waking you. The high thread count prevents fine Merino fibers from escaping while allowing the natural breathability of the fill to function fully.

All-Season Comfort: What "300 GSM" Actually Means for Sleep

GSM (grams per square meter) is the fill weight. Our 300 GSM all-season weight is calibrated as a true four-season comforter for most U.S. climates — warm enough for autumn and winter with a duvet cover.

Breathable enough for spring and mild summer nights. For very cold climates or cold sleepers, our 400 GSM winter weight provides deeper insulation without overheating.
The Weight Guide

Yes — many hot sleepers prefer wool because it absorbs and releases moisture vapor, helping prevent overheating. While it’s not “cooling,” it actively helps regulate temperature throughout the night.
