Your 2022 Fall Activity Bucket List

Your 2022 Fall Activity Bucket List - Delara

Your fall activity bucket list is here!

Officially, we have a few more weeks until the start of fall, but unofficially, we like to think of September 1 as the kickoff to our favorite season. While we love the summer months and do feel a twinge of sadness packing away our beach towels and flip flops, there is just something so magical about the fall months.

To help you make the most of this beautiful time of year, we’ve put together your 2022 fall activity bucket list!

Try a DIY fall craft

While summer is the time for outdoor fun, there’s something about the fall that makes us want to curl up inside with a fun craft or home project. Knitting, crocheting, painting, or embroidery are all uber-hygge crafts to try this fall. Or try your hand at some DIY fall home décor.

Decorate your home for fall

Adding fall home décor is one of our favorite parts of the season and such a fun and simple way to cultivate a cozy fall vibe. Incorporating a few touches like cute throw blankets, darker bedsheets, or a heavier duvet is the perfect way to transition your home for fall.

Make your favorite fall drink

Fall has no shortage of delicious seasonal drinks, so now is the time to indulge! From the famous PSLs, to apple cider, to chai tea lattes, the delicious, warming drink options are endless. Try making your own or channel your inner Gilmore Girl and put on your coziest wool sweater and head to your favorite coffee shop.

Have a fall movie marathon

There is no shortage of wonderful fall movies, and one of our favorite fall activities is to grab a cozy blanket, your fall drink of choice, and curl up for a fall movie marathon. Looking for fall movie inspiration? Some of our favorites include Hocus Pocus, Harry Potter, You’ve Got Mail, and The Blind Side.

Create your fall reading list

If you’re more of a book worm than a cinephile, this is the perfect time to enjoy your favorite fall books- or discover new ones!

Test your baking skills with a deluxe pie recipe

If you’re a Pinterest fan like us, chances are beautiful pies complete with artistic crust designs start showing up in your feed around this time of year. This year, why not try your hand at making one- they’re sure to be the talk of your family’s Thanksgiving dinner!

Make pumpkin soup

As soon as the weather turns chilly, you’ll find us craving a warm bowl of soup. Not only is pumpkin soup delicious, but the spicy scent is the epitome of fall.

Check out your local farmer’s markets

Farmer’s markets are great year-round, but they’re definitely at their prime in the fall. Filled with this year’s harvest, they’re the perfect place to stock up on fall favorites like apples, pumpkins, squash, and cider.

Take a road trip to see the fall colors

If you’re lucky enough to live somewhere with fall colors, taking a Sunday drive to enjoy the leaves and soak in the fall views.

Head to a local winery

Enjoying the fall leaves is wonderful, but enjoying the fall leaves will sipping a glass of wine? It just doesn’t get any better than that.

Got to a football game

The ultimate all-American fall activity: an afternoon football game!

Carve pumpkins

Of course, no fall activity checklist would be complete without some pumpkin activities! Pick up a pumpkin from your local farmer’s market or pumpkin patch and then flex your creativity with a pumpkin carving night. Don’t forget to save the seeds for roasting!
